Meet the founder of Zest
Introduction
My name is Alexander Schrijvershof. I grew up surrounded by fruit and have over 15 years of experience in fresh produce. I was responsible for finance and IT at Schrijvershof, a family business.
In 2012, we were looking for a new system. We had three requirements: user-friendly, future-proof and affordable.
We were not exactly enthused by the systems that were available. So, I decided to develop my own system. And successfully so: the Schrijvershof team has been happily using it for eight years now.
In 2020, I left the fresh produce sector and founded Zest. I believe that there are plenty of other fresh produce importers who need a simple software system that takes work off their hands. This work is often still done manually.
